allergy testing is for the major determinant of penicillin metabolism
and used as a skin-testing reagent to detect antibodies in people with
rash and other skin or dermatology problems caused by penicillin
allergy. It was recently approved by the FDA through Allerquest and ALK
Abello. Allergy shots are not indicated for penicillin allergy, but
other allergy relief may be available.
